What is a Steampunk Maker in Aethertopia?

Some people believe that being a Steampunk Maker means you have to sell what you make.

Well, I’m here to tell you that nothing could be further from the truth!

If you have ever been asked, “Did you make that?”, and you answered, “Yes!”, then you are probably a maker, by our definition. If the object was Steampunk, then you are definitely a Steampunk Maker!

So don’t think for a moment that your own devices, clothing, gear, art, or weaponry can’t be submitted into the Guild contest. It is because of you that we are holding this event in the first place! We know that you work hard on your Steampunk ensemble, and Aethertopia is your opportunity to show off your efforts!

Click here to find out more about the Seven Maker Guilds of Aethertopia, and remember that if your creation is selected to be on display, then you will receive a pair of two-day passes to our event in July! And if you are not selected, then you will receive a $10 discount coupon good towards your purchase of any admission ticket you desire! You really can’t lose.

And to top it off, we are donating 100% of your submission fees to the Henry B. Plant Museum in Tampa. This beautifully preserved 1891 hotel is the epitome of Victoriana, and is well deserving of our attention and support.

So go ahead… submit your creation today. The submission fee of $5 will be going up to $10 on 31 March, so don’t hesitate!
